Welcome to the Agricultural Land Tribunal for Wales

The Agricultural Land Tribunal for Wales (ALT Wales) is an independent tribunal that has been set up to resolve certain disputes relating to agricultural holdings.

We deal with disputes to do with:

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic – the Tribunal has very limited, or no access, to items delivered by post. Please can you ensure that any documents (including applications forms and written submissions) that are required by the Tribunal are sent by e-mail to: AgriculturalLandTribunalWales@gov.wales

The Tribunal is not intending to list any face to face Hearings in the near future. Hearings will be scheduled to take place using a virtual system with any site inspections arranged on a Case by Case basis.

Conent Order and Directions Hearings will continue to take place by telephone conference or other means of remote communication.

The ALT Wales, its members and decisions are independent of Government. Administrative support and funding for the tribunal is provided by the Welsh Government.

Site visits

The tribunal may, and usually will, visit and inspect land owned and occupied by any party or relevant to proceedings before it.
